MIGRALAC is a Latin American and Caribbean Migration Research Network, launched online this week.

The Latin American and Caribbean Migration Research Network - MIGRALAC was launched online, with the aim to provide a platform for researchers working on a broad range of issues relating to Latin American and Caribbean migration and diasporas to access and share contacts and research outputs, to discuss ideas and, potentially, to formulate collaborative projects.

Olivia Sheringham and Maria Villares explain how MIGRALAC came to be in an article published on Debating Development:

Last March, the idea for a Latin American and Caribbean Migration Network was developed in an informal workshop held at COMPAS. We realised the need to create a forum for dialogue and knowledge exchange between scholars working on migration to, from and within Latin America and the Caribbean.
