About this seminar
My research examines the intersection of gender, migration and development in Southern Africa, a region which has undergone dramatic socio-political changes in recent decades. These include changes to patterns and processes of intra-regional cross-border migration. In this talk, I'll be drawing on over a decade of research with the Southern African Migration Program (SAMP) to examine and critique a broader set of debates about the relationship between migration and development, and to do so from the particular perspective of gender and gender relations.
