African Perspectives on Human Mobility

This project (2008-2012) aimed to explore alternative conceptions of human mobility based on empirical research in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Morocco and Nigeria.

Emigration States in the Global Governance of Migration

The primary purpose of this ESRC-funded Postdoctoral Fellowship was to refine and disseminate research on the role of emigration states in global migration governance.

Transatlantic Dialogues on Migration and Development Issues

This project facilitated a transatlantic North-South exchange among policy makers and scholars and combined discussion between actors and direct field observation of the differential impacts of migration.

Transnational Migrant Organisations

This project aimed to identify the characteristics of cross border migrant organisations (CBMOs); to analyse the diffusion of transnational migrant organisations (TRAMOs); to study the contextual factors which influence the emergence of TRAMOs; and to address the consequences of the transnationalisation of migrant organisations for participation and incorporation of migrants in European national societies.
